Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis: A Survival Guide for Clinicians,
2nd edition

Curry National Tuberculosis Center is pleased to announce the availability of the fully updated second edition of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis: A Survival Guide for Clinicians. First released in 2004, the Guide is a joint publication of CNTC and the Tuberculosis Control Branch of the California Department of Public Health. It contains information and user-friendly tools and templates for use by any clinician who participates in the management of patients with drug-resistant TB. This easy-to-use resource can be downloaded from our website and is available as a printed book and on CD-ROM.
 

Tuberculosis Program Manager's Intensive - San Francisco

The Francis J. Curry National TB Center is pleased to announce the Tuberculosis Program Manager's Intensive scheduled for July 22-25 in San Francisco, CA. This course is designed for nurses, physicians, and other health professionals managing tuberculosis programs in the western region of the US. The 4-day course will cover program evaluation; gathering, analyzing, and interpreting TB case data and using this data to plan and guide your program; contact investigation/genotyping; TB outbreak response; staff training; legal and ethical issues in TB control; and infection control. Continuing education contact hours are available. Application deadline is June 3, 2008.
