  • Discuss the role of Interferon Gamma Release Assays (IGRAs) as diagnostic tools for latent TB infection (LTBI)
  • Explain the procedures for treatment and follow-up of contacts with LTBI or TB disease
  • Describe three principles for counseling a patient for LTBI treatment

About the Speaker

Dr. Masae KawamuraL. Masae Kawamura, M.D.

Dr. Kawamura is the Director and TB Controller for the City and County of San Francisco Department of Health. She also serves as the principal investigator for the Regional TB Training and Medical Consultation Center.
