1. Describe the global and national epidemiology of MDR and XDR TB.

2. Describe the development of drug-resistant TB.

3. Describe laboratory diagnosis of drug-resistant TB.

4. List the general principles of treatment of MDR and XDR TB.

5. Discuss the challenges in managing contacts of MDR and XDR TB cases.

6. Identify mechanisms for obtaining training and expert consultation on management and treatment of MDR TB and XDR TB.
